#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group lacked resources for training on public participation such as hall, tents and chairs resulting to them holding meetings under a tree. They also lacked a stable source of income as majority of the youth were unemployed.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated two tents and 71 chairs at a cost of KES 150,000.

The Impact

Hiring the items out is helping members generate income therefore improving their living standards. The group is also increasing their reach in capacity building in the community.
