#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group carries out mentorship programs in the community however they lacked equipment to facilitate the meetings. Others parties denied them permission to use their grounds as meeting spots. They also did not have an extra means to raise funds for their group.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu donated 2 tents and 100 chairs at a cost of KES 150,000.

The Impact

The group is now in a position to carry out their regular meetings and activities without the need of sourcing for meeting venues. The members have extra income when they hire out the tents and chairs.
