About the project

The Challenge

The classes were old and dilapidated since they have been in existence since 1991. The roofs were low, the floors had holes, walls had cracks and the general outlook was demotivating.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s ALP programme handed over 2 renovated classrooms and 44 desks at a cost of KES 1.2 Million. The roofs were raised, the walls reinforced, floors tiled and the walls painted.

The Impact

The infrastructure has improved the learning standards in the school. The students have also been motivated to improve their performance now that the learning environment is conducive.
