About the project
The available dormitory could not sustain the increasing population of pupils in the school. There was a lot of congestion in the facility which resulted to poor ventilation, hygiene and sanitation issues because the dormitory and the washrooms in it were overwhelmed. During lessons, teachers were struggling with fatigued and sleepy learners.
Safaricom Foundation handed over a constructed dormitory, 15 beds, 15 mattresses and 15 sets of bedding at a cost of KES 2.5 Million.
The new facility has decongested the dormitory providing a conducive environment for resting after a full day of learning. It is expected that the academic performance of the school will improve as learners are now energetic for the day.
