#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The members experienced lack of startup capital to manage the groups businesses as well as low levels of saving by members. Insufficient necessary tools and equipment to offer decent and modernized services to clients was another issue.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated sewing machines at a cost of KES 150,000.

The Impact

The equipment will assist in setting up competitive services for catering and outdoor functions. The members will save money that would have otherwise been used to hire tents and chairs.
