About the project

The Challenge

The group had a low saving culture as well as insufficient startup capital to invest in business.  Lack of proper working equipment to offer decent and modernized services to clients was another challenge.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated tents and chairs at a cost of KES 100,000.

The Impact

The members have used the tents and chairs to set up competitive services for catering and outdoor functions thus generating income. Additionally, the group is economically empowered enabling members to honour their contributions for savings.
