#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group offers training and mentorship programs to teenage mothers. However, financial constraints had limited their ability to buy materials needed to train the young girls.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a tent and 50 chairs at a cost of KES 150,000 for the group.

The Impact

The team is offering hiring services for the equipment thus supplementing the income they obtain from other sources. They are running their mentorship programs without digging into the group’s savings.
