#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group had no structure to conduct meetings, community seminars as well as carry out group activities. They had to hire tents and chairs which added on to the group’s expenses that would have otherwise been used for other activities.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu donated tents and chairs at a cost of KES 150,000.

The Impact

They now have access to a reliable structure to conduct their meetings and carry out group activities such as dancing without restrictions. The group will also hire out the tents for income that will be used to purchase more equipment such as tents, chairs and set up a studio.
