About the project

The Challenge

The group of 30 persons with disability did not have a steady source of income to keep the group activities running. They ground their maize at a posho mill which was 3 kilometers away leaving behind some families members who needed close medical attention as they stayed away for long.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a posho mill at a cost of KES 100,000.

The Impact

The group has a steady source of income from offering posho mill services and are able to remain close to their family members.
