About the project

The Challenge

The school had no permanent classrooms. The available ones were semi-permanent and extremely dilapidated. Supporting infrastructure such as desks and chairs were also missing consequently frustrating the learning process. Students sat on the cold un-cemented floor during classes consequently leading to flu cases among students.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Pamoja scheme initiative invested KES 1 Million for the construction of a furnished classroom for the school.

The Impact

The new facility is providing a conducive learning environment therefore motivating teachers and students to perform better in academics.
