About the project

The Challenge

There was congestion in the school because of inadequate classrooms. The students also brought water from home every day and went to fetch from a nearby spring. This affected the performance in school.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu donated a 25-capacity classroom and a 10,000L water tank at a cost of KES 1.2 million.

The Impact

Congestion in the classrooms has been reduced enabling social distancing because of COVID-19. The tank provides a steady water supply that will meet their everyday needs and promote hygiene.
