The centre had a shortage of beds which limited their ability to provide post-natal care. Absence of delivery coaches also stretched delivery services to the women who came to give birth putting their health at risk.
Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated five beds and a delivery coach worth Ksh. 300,000.
The equipment will support the women to deliver safely and to receive quality post-natal care. The facility will be in a capacity to serve more pregnant women and offer assurance that it is a reliable centre.
