#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

Some of the women were unable to uplift themselves and contribute to the growth of the group due to financial constraints. They also needed a boost in order to be self-employed.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated sewing machines at a cost of KES 100,000.

The Impact

The women who aspired to be self-employed are now able to live the dream. They can now earn steady income that will assist in meeting personal needs and in the growth of the group as well as the community.
