About the project
There were women in the group who were unable to uplift themselves and to contribute to the growth of the group due to financial constraints. They also needed to be equipped so that they could venture into self-employment.
Safaricom Foundation’s Pamoja Scheme donated sewing machines at a cost of KES 500,000.
The women who aspired to be self-employed are now living the dream. They can now earn steady income through making clothes and selling them. Moreover, they are able to meet their personal needs, grow the group and the community.
