About the project
The rising number of COVID-19 cases in upcountry counties had caused concern among health workers who were on the frontlines in fighting the COVID-19 disease. The concern was about their safety as they took charge of infected patients who were coming in health centers across the counties. Murang’a County needed to have PPEs for their health workers.
Safaricom Foundation handed over personal protective equipment (PPEs) worth KES 1.5 million to health workers in Murang’a County to combat the disease. They included N95 masks, protective gowns, goggles and shoes, gloves among other assorted protective gear.
The management of COVID-19 in the county has been well-boosted with the PPEs for health workers to use in their service to patients.
