About the project
Kiambu was one of the counties with the highest number of cases of COVID-19. This led to a high urgency and activity by the health workers to manage the disease. This made them vulnerable to infections as they attended to patients going to hospitals.
Safaricom Foundation handed over personal protective equipment (PPEs) worth KES 1.5 million to health workers in Kiambu County to combat the disease. The PPEs included N95 masks, protective gowns, goggles and shoes, gloves among other assorted protective gear.
The county’s health workers are well-equipped to fight the disease with the PPEs donated. They have all-round protection from their heads to their toes as they administer services to COVID-19 patients.
