About the project

The Challenge

The school had shortage of latrines that forced teachers to share the facilities with the pupils. The classrooms had leaking roofs as well as inadequate desks that could not accommodate the growing population of the school.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated 20 co-joined desks and chairs at a cost of KES 100,000.

The Impact

The desks have been allocated to 20 of the 56 candidates in class eight. It is expected that availability of these furniture will uplift the morale of students leading to better performances. There is also guaranteed safety of students’ books and personal items.
