About the project

The Challenge

The school had inadequate classrooms which could not accommodate the high influx of students’ population. The available classrooms which had been constructed from wood were old and dilapidated. Worse still, some of the pupils were demotivated, they opted to miss school.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation handed over a classroom, 25 lockers and 25 chairs at a cost of KES 1.5 million.

The Impact

The classroom is well built and spacious ensuring decongestion and spacing of students during lessons. Moreover, students are learning in a conducive and safe environment that is expected to reduce absenteeism in pupils.
