About the project
The school had old latrines that had been in use for the last two decades. They also could not serve the increasing number of people leading to long ques.
Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative constructed 2 pit latrines for girls and 2 for boys at a cost of Kes 500,000.
The new set of latrines are saving students and teachers the time used to go to the neighboring institutions to relief themselves or used in the long ques when waiting for their turn .At the same time, it is reducing the chances for contracting poor sanitation related diseases such as cholera.
