About the project
The classrooms were old and dilapidated, walls had cracks, doors were broken while the floors had holes. Additionally, the school’s population had out run the available desks and chairs which were also old and worn out. The learning environment was not conducive and this reduced pupils’ concentration consequently affecting their performance.
Safaricom Foundation through the Pamoja Scheme handed over a renovated classroom at a cost KES 600,000. Two classrooms were plastered, the window panes renovated, floors tiled and the wooden doors were replaced with metallic ones.
The classroom is now conducive to hold the class eight and seven students. Moreover, students are learning in an elegant environment hence stimulating their concentration and participation in class.
