About the project

The Challenge

The facility did not have enough equipment to administer palliative care. Families with terminally ill patients found home-based care overwhelming without the facilities required to take care of them.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated oncology chairs and beds to Nyeri Hospice at a cost of KES 500,000.

The Impact

Terminally ill patients are receiving the care they need in chemotherapy services and are kept comfortable conditions.
