#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group lacked startup capital to manage the group’s businesses and they also experienced low saving levels by members.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated tents and chairs at a cost of KES 150,000.

The Impact

The group is now able to carry out competitive outdoor activities in the community without hiring tents and chairs hence saving the money.

There has been an increase in the revenue collection of the group that has raised the living standards of the group members as well as the community.
