About the project
Most of the students came from humble backgrounds where parents could not afford to pay school fees as well as purchase school reading materials such as set books. These affected students’ performance especially in languages.
Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative handed over set books worth KES 100,000.
The books have improved the reading culture of the students and uplifted the scores in languages as well as the overall performance. Students are now confident expressing themselves in speech and in writing.
