#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group of women had problems in finding a viable economic activity that would sustain them as well as get resources to purchase other items.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated tents and chairs at a cost of KES 150,000.

The Impact

The women are able to start an events business where they rent out tents and chairs and use the profits to purchase more items. This supplements the income generated from poultry farming as well as potato farming that they had started.
