About the project

The Challenge

The special school lacked electronic equipment that would enhance learning for the pupils in the hearing unit. There was need for computer literacy in order to keep up with digital skills, especially now that learning has shifted to virtual means.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative supported the school with laptops, software, licensing, projector, mouse and headphones, all worth KES 900,000.

The Impact

The computers are expected to help the students communicate better, learn more on their own, and be independent. The digital skills will also prepare them adequately for the job market.
