#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group which owns a car wash wanted to expand but lacked the machinery to increase their productivity. They washed fewer cars and motorbikes, which limited their profit-making potential. When their machine broke down, they remained for a while without work.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a car wash machine at the cost of KES 140,000.

The Impact

Their business is more productive. They are washing and servicing more automobiles, which is increasing their income.
