About the project

The Challenge

The school had semi-permanent and dilapidated classrooms that posed danger to pupils because they risked collapsing. Supporting infrastructure such as desks and chairs were also missing consequently hindering the learning process.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation, through the Pamoja Scheme, handed over a constructed classroom at a cost KES 1 Million.

The Impact

The new classroom is stable with no risk of collapsing protecting them from extreme weather changes and insecurity issues. Moreover, students are learning in a conducive environment hence stimulating their concentration and participation in class.
