About the project

The Challenge

Sometimes, the school’s water suppliers had issues in channeling water to the school and the surrounding areas. This left the school stranded without stored water for cooking meals and cleaning. Students were forced to borrow water from neighboring homes.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative supported the school with a water tank worth KES 175,000.

The Impact

The school is in a position to harvest and store rain water which will complement the water they receive from their suppliers enabling school activities to go on without disruptions.
