About the project
The children’s home lacked a constant supply of learning and school materials as they solely depended on well-wishers and government donations. Access to reliable health services was a problem whereas the school kitchen was in a bad state as the structure was old.
Safaricom Foundation’s put up structures worth KES 700,000. They included a refurbished kitchen and construction of clean energy Jikos.
The refurbished kitchen and the constructed clean Jikos is creating a good space for cooking as well as catering for other kitchen activities. This has made work easier for caregivers to prepare meals on time for the children.
