#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

There is no tapped water in the school, so they opted to do water harvesting. Students used to carry water from home and sometimes the water was not clean for consumption. The water stream is far from the school and sometimes it dries up.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a water tank worth KES 175,000.

The Impact

The water tank will facilitate harvesting of water that will sustain the students even when the stream runs dry.
