About the project

The Challenge

The school did not have a reliable source of water. There was frequent rationing of water which forced students to go to River Galana to fetch water. This posed the risk of waterborne diseases.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu donated a 10,000 litre water tank at a cost of KES 175, 000.

The Impact

Students are more focused on their academics as they no longer need to go to the river to fetch water. The tank is also providing a steady supply of water to the school.
