About the project

The Challenge

The school lacked access to clean water that consequently affected the sanitation level. Safety of the water available was also not guaranteed. This disrupted learning as there were emerging cases of water borne diseases.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a water tank at a cost of KES 175,000.

The Impact

The tank is facilitating storage of rainwater to be used during the dry season. Sanitation in school has also increased as students can access clean water throughout.
