#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The community based organisation identified drug abuse as a major anti-social behaviour affecting the youth. They spent their energy in wayward activities which had pushed up the crime rate.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation, through Ndoto Zetu, donated 8 computers worth KES 350, 000.

The Impact

The youth have turned away from drug abuse and investing their time and energy in gainful training using the computers. They are getting ICT empowerment which is giving them skills to do productive activities.
