About the project

The Challenge

The Catering and Hospitality training school lacked funds to purchase equipment for practical lessons. This led to some students missing out on applied sessions or alternatively using jikos which were equally time-consuming. This situation did not allow for additional students’ enrollment.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated two tabletop ovens worth KES 296,000.

The Impact

The ovens have enhanced the quality of training being provided. In addition, there has been increase in students’ enrollment as learners are confident with the institution’s capability to equip them with catering skills.
