About the project

The Challenge

The institution had inadequate supply of water which strained school activities. The rainwater was available but there was lack of a storage tank to tap and preserve it for future use. The school also sourced for water from the primary school but it was not sufficient, forcing students to fetch river water one and a half kilometers away.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative handed over a 10, 000-liter water tank at a cost of KES 175,000.

The Impact

The tank is aiding in harvesting and storage of clean water enabling execution of school activities. Students are also utilizing their school time well which will boost the school’s performance.
