About the project

The Challenge

The dining area was underequipped forcing the students with visual impairment to have their meals sitting under trees while others stood against classrooms walls. Additionally, the available furniture was old and worn out and the school was unable to raise funds to repair or replace the furniture.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated 24 tables and 240 chairs at a cost of KES 750,000.

The Impact

The dining area has been equipped and well organized creating a conducive environment for students to enjoy their meals. The school is also in capacity to hold school meetings as well as community seminars.
