About the project

The Challenge

Some pupils lacked the proper school uniforms as their parents could not afford to purchase the recommended ones. This situation lowered their self-esteem in that they compared themselves to pupils who were smartly dressed consequently forcing them to miss school.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative supported the school with school uniforms worth KES 200,000.

The Impact

The school attire has created a sense of identity for the students ensuring easy tracking of students’ movement in the school. Students have also been encouraged to report to school as they are now confident and motivated to study.
