About the project
Due to lack of infrastructure and computer equipment, the school was unable to set up a computer lab that would facilitate teaching of computer and digital skills. Additionally, teachers could not access teaching materials as well as type and print exams.
Safaricom Foundation’s Pamoja scheme installed a computer lab in a forty feet container that included an internet router, 13 desktops and furniture at a cost of KES 1,061, 595.
The school is in capacity to offer basic and advanced computer skills to the students as well as teachers. The school is saving on costs when it comes to preparing exams and sending official documents within the school and to other institutions.
