About the project

The Challenge

The hospital lacked maternity and theater equipment. The hospital could not respond to emergency situations which affected service delivery.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation donated two wheelchairs, an autoclave, a resuscitaire, a stretcher and a sunction machine. These equipment were worth KES 720, 000.

The Impact

The hospital is responding well to maternal care needs by handling women who are coming to give birth in emergency situations with much more efficiency.
