About the project

The Challenge

The group makes briquettes for a living. The demand for the briquettes was often not because of inadequate machinery. They were unable to deliver the amount of briquettes requested by a supermarket which was willing to buy from them.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a briquette machine with a grinding and welding machine at a cost of KES 500,000.

The Impact

The business is thriving as the group can now meet clients’ demands with the increased briquette production.
