About the project

The Challenge

There was shortage of learning and recreational books. Parents were unable to provide books for their children therefore the school had to take responsibility. Additionally, books got lost often which limited their access.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated books worth KES 100,000. They comprised of mixed revision books and story books.

The Impact

The students have been exposed to a wide variety of books for research and revision. These books have supplemented the course texts that the government provides to schools therefore improving the academic performance and general knowledge of pupils.
