#EconomicEmpowerment

About the project

The Challenge

The group had to hire catering items in order to meet their clients demands. The business had also experienced losses due to COVID-19 as there were no events as recommended by the social distance rule.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative supported the group with catering equipment at a cost of KES 182,500. The items include sufuria, gas cylinder and cooker, jiko, cutlery and serving dishes.

The Impact

The group is not incurring any hiring costs for the equipment. They are generating income from offering catering services in events now that the economy has re-opened.
