About the project

The Challenge

The school’s ablution block was dilapidated. The number of toilets could not accommodate the high population causing congestion in the washrooms consequently compromising the level of sanitation. Additionally, students with walking aids or wheelchairs could also not access classes as there were no ramps put in place.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation supported the school with renovations of the two ablution blocks, access ramps and Assorted Adaptive Learning resource materials at a cost KES 662,207.

The Impact

The facilities put in place are ensuring easy movement and learning of students. There is a conducive learning environment that motivates both teachers and students to improve the performance.
