About the project

The Challenge

The Government rolled out the Digital Learning Programme in 2016 which was meant to expose every pupil to digital skills and learning opportunities.

The school did not have a computer lab to give digital learning a platform. The students often felt embarrassed whenever they met their fellow students from other school who had computers in their schools.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation constructed a computer lab for KES 1 million.

The Impact

The students will gain computer skills which will go a long way in helping them in their studies in school and adapt to a fast-changing world being shaped by technology.

They will not be left behind in digital literacy.
