About the project

The Challenge

Pupils at Mwangani Primary School did not have lockers and chairs to use during their classes and were forced to sit on stones during lessons. They were also congested in unstable makeshift structures. This affected their concentration and academic performance.

The Intervention

Three classrooms were constructed by Safaricom Foundation at KES 3 million. Each classroom furnished with 20 lockers and chairs.

The Impact

The pupils are learning in spacious classrooms using their lockers and chairs. They are focused on their studies which is raising their academic performance.
