About the project
Despite the importance of playtime for the growth and development of children, Daua Integrated primary school lacked a recreation centre where the children with special needs would play games and interact with other normal children.
Safaricom Foundation invested Kshs. 3.96million towards the construction and equipping of a recreation centre. The centre was equipped with games such as Monopoly, Chase, Table Tennis and merry-go-round, a TV, tables and chairs.
The recreation centre has provided a creative space where all learners at the institution can explore extra curricula activities. The learners also have an opportunity to interact freely at the facility.
