About the project

The Challenge

Children’s Garden Home is a home and school which provides education for underprivileged boys and girls. The boys had limited bed space since their dormitories were small and the number of beds were inadequate. Such conditions made the spread of communicable diseases a common feature in the home.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation constructed a dormitory for KES 8.6 million and furnished it with furniture including 60 new beds, 20 chairs and 10 tables.

The Impact

The boys have a conducive place to rest and recover after a long day of studies. They are much healthier with a well-ventilated and spacious dormitory.
