About the project

The Challenge

The school which has grown since its inception with five pupils, now has 85 pupils with nine teachers and eight support staff. Though the school has been developed with the support from various institutions, the students require more space as the current facilities are congested. Pupils are unable to learn properly and thereby inhibiting their progress academically.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation in collaboration with the National Fund for the Disabled Persons in Kenya, funded the construction and furnishing of classrooms at a value of Ksh. 341,050.

The Impact

With the new classrooms, the pupils at the school will are now able to learn properly. Soon, they’ll acquire basic life skills needed to lead fulfilling lives.

The teachers now have easy access to their pupils, therefore making learning easier and more interactive.
