About the project
The Kenyan Government introduced free education in 2003. Since then, more and more pupils have enrolled in school. This has led to crowding and lack of enough resources in schools. This is the same situation that faced Mtsanganyiko Primary School.
Safaricom Foundation partnered with Coca-Cola Company and The Tinga Tinga Tales Foundation to construct a classroom at Ksh 1.3 million. This was through the Know and Grow Initiative, a project that seeks to improve the learning environment in primary schools countrywide.
More pupils can now enroll as there is more room to accommodate the pupils who are keen on learning.
