About the project
Dahir Primary School in Masalani, Garissa County had semi-permanent classrooms that could not operate at optimum capacity especially during harsh weather conditions. This greatly affected the student’s performance.
Safaricom Foundation in partnership with Coca-Cola Company and The Tinga Tinga Tales Foundation funded the construction of a classroom valued at Ksh 1.37 million. This was through the Know and Grow Initiative, a project that seeks to improve the learning environment in primary schools nationwide.
Dahir Primary School can now set a strong foundation for its students without being disrupted by harsh weather conditions.
